Contact Notary of New York for a specific price quote based on your location and the number of documents or signatures that need to be notarized.

Apostille Fees: When a legal document is being sent to a foreign country, it may be necessary to authenticate the notary's signature before the documents will be accepted in that country. If the country is part of the Hague Convention system for legal documents, the notarized document must be brought to the New York County Clerk's office to authenticate that the notary's signature and seal on the document were valid at the time of the notarization. The New York Secretary of State's office must then review the document and, if approved, will attach a state certificate and seal as the final step. A similar state certification is provided for non-Hague Convention participants. It can often take several hours to complete this two-step process. Notary of New York can handle this service for you within New York (Manhattan), Richmond, Kings, Queens, Nassau, and Westchester counties, and can quote you a fee based on your specific needs; all other counties are subject to a higher trip fee.

The typical fee for picking up the notarized documents (or notarizing the documents as well for an additional $2 per document) within Manhattan, processing the documents at the New York and Richmond County Clerk and NY Secretary of State offices (other boroughs will be a slightly higher fee) and returning the apostilled documents to you is $175 (which includes all county and state fees). Reduced fees can be arranged by dropping off pre-notarized documents (notarized by a notary with New York County commission) or picking up the completed documents at a drop-off/pickup location in the Union Square area of Manhattan. Additional apostilles are provided for an additional $35 per document. Documents can be Fedexed back to a location in the U.S. for an additional $35-50 (depending on the weight of the document and whether Overnight Priority, Standard, or 2-Day is chosen). International shipment prices will need to be quoted individually.

Embassy/Consulate Fees: Authentication of documents at the Manhattan-New York embassies and consulate offices. There is a trip fee of $40 (per trip), plus an hourly rate of $50/hr. for this service.

Loan and Bank Document Fees:  Depending on the borough the starting hourly rate is $100/hr. for one closing, and $150/hr. for a double. Fees range from $30-50, depending upon your location, for basic mobile notary services (which includes one notarization) during Notary of New York's regular business hours. Additional notarizations are $2 each. Requests for a notarization within the hour may require an additional $15 charge. Notarizations before or after regular Notary of New York hours (8 AM or after 9:00 PM) will incur an additional fee ranging from $20-100 depending on the hour of the day or night.

Fees for more complex notary assignments such as will ceremonies at Manhattan-New York hospitals (starting at $65) and serving as a Notary Signing Agent for loan packages (starting at $100) are priced separately along with any printing fees.

Please note that if the notary has to wait more than 10 minutes to get started, a waiting fee of $15 per 15 minutes is charged. If the notary has another appointment directly after yours, it may also not be possible to wait more than 10 minutes.

Method of Payment: There are a variety of ways you can pay for the Paralegal/Notary Public service: with cash (a receipt is provided), a certified bank check, or a major credit card via Paypal.
